iPEC SHIFTs New Jersey Into a Higher Level of Consciousness

March 15th, 2010

That’s what happens when 400 like-minded change agents, coaches and community leaders gather in a hotel in Morristown, New Jersey! On Thursday, March 4th, iPEC Coaching hosted S.H.I.F.T. New Jersey, an event which is part of a national consciousness-raising movement, as well as a celebration of  iPEC’s 10th anniversary.

The keynote speaker was Bruce D Schneider, Master Certified Coach, founder of iPEC, who personally shared the transformational power behind “The Slingshot Effect,” a unique phenomenon that occurs when a significant amount of pressure builds up within and around us. By simply learning how to release this pressure, one can be at the cause of his or her life - and create a ripple effect of extraordinary results. Dr. Schneider invited all those in attendance to take the challenge of making a difference in at least one person’s life over the next 30 days. The crowd was more than excited to participate.

Other presenters included iPEC’s CEO, D. Luke Iorio, and other iPEC executives, Deborah Van De Grift, Cheryl Wilson, and affiliate partner, Ed Abel from Abel Business Institute, Network Plus, Powerful You!, and Affinity. Events have occurred in Chicago, Los Angeles, and New Jersey, with additional cities being planned.

Listen to what some of the attendees had to say about this extraordinary evening:

“It only goes to show you the transformation power of iPEC and Bruce Schneider when they sell out a room to 400 people. The S.H.I.F.T. NJ event was an evening of inspiration, energy, motivation and it left a lasting impact! Bruce’s presentation was mindful and full of enlightening purpose. Definitely, do not miss the next S.H.I.F.T. event!!”
Ed Able, Abel Business Institute

“Thank you, iPEC, for the incredible evening at SHIFT NJ!  You provided inspiration, motivation, and meaningful insights to propel forward anyone interested in improving their own life or making a difference in the lives of others.  I am grateful to have experienced the power of iPEC and look forward spreading the word so others may benefit as well.  I can now understand why Bruce D Schneider is such a well-loved leader.”
Sue Urda, Co-Founder of Powerful You! Women’s Network  www.powerfulyou.com

“SHIFT is a movement emerging from these challenging, yet exciting times. We were thrilled with the reception of the New Jersey event, which, like all SHIFT events, was intended for professionals, leaders, and change agents who want to see positive change happen and seek support and ideas for new ways to progress. The room was filled with like-minded people who wish to seize and create opportunities, and make a significant difference in the world.”
D. Luke Iorio, CEO, iPEC Coaching

“I came to SHIFT because I always get inspired when I listen to Bruce speak. (and I did). It lifts my energy level and always gives me new and interesting things to expand my mind and therefore my business.  The bonus factor of being at SHIFT that I did not think ahead about was reconnecting to so many people in the iPEC family.  It is unbelievable uplifting to be in a room filled with people whose values, consciousness, and love of living and learning bond us together.”
Ivy Slater from Slater Success Coaching

“SHIFT New Jersey was an absolutely inspirational evening. The energy, the people, and the practical, down-to-earth information were all remarkable. And if that wasn’t enough, I found “The Slingshot Effect” was not only a fantastic transformational tool but a revolutionary “shift” in perspective that turns tension into triumph. Great stuff from start to finish!!”
Brett Ramsdell, Coaching Student

“SHIFT offers a powerful and concise reminder of the absolute necessity of being fully engaged as the leader of your own life, and making the conscious choice to affect others positively. Watch your world expand as you shift!”
Kimber Britner from Bright Life Coaching

3 Reasons Why the Coaching Profession and Industry Are Growing Rapidly

October 26th, 2009

Coaching now is a billion dollar industry. The coaching industry has seen tremendous growth. Between 25 to 40 percent of Fortune 500 companies use executive coaches, as reported in a recent survey by The Hay Group, an International Human Resources consultancy. Coaches are hired by Fortune 1000 companies, in schools, in all departments of government, health clubs, non-profits and more to achieve success. More and more people are choosing to become certified professional coaches or learn coaching skills for use in their everyday lives and careers. Today, let’s answer the questions “Why?” and “Why now?”

The only constant is change

It’s no surprise or secret that change is an integral part of life, and if you don’t incorporate it into your business and lifestyle, sooner or later you will be left behind. This has always been true, but right now change is front and center everywhere you look. This continuous and accelerated change creates uncertainty, confusion and doubt even in the most confident, persistent and open minded people. And that’s where a coach comes into the picture.

People are looking for ways to decipher information more quickly, to understand their ever changing circumstances more fully, and to regain their confidence. A coach will keep you focused and moving forward. A coach will help you understand what exactly about the change is really upsetting or frustrating you. The clarity and support coaching provides will energize you, provide you with a sense of certainty, and give you the ability to act with confidence and calmness in even the most challenging circumstances.

You 2.0

Because of all this change individuals want to take what’s great about themselves and transform into a new and improved version! A coach will help you recognize your strengths, talents and expertise and show you how to align them with your values to have a more rewarding career – who doesn’t what that?!

You are your own expert

People don’t want to be told what to do. They don’t want to ‘get fixed’, as if something is broken in the first place! They don’t want yet another free opinion or free advice… What people are looking for are solutions to enable and empower them to find their own answers.

You are the one who lived your life, so you inherently already know what’s best for you. And a coach will help you along with finding your path.

Change is here and occurring more rapidly than ever; you know you’ve got more inside of you and are ready to do great things; you are the expert and the answer you’ve been seeking all along… these thoughts are emerging for people everywhere. You know what to be the cause of change – for yourself and for others.

So the question is: To be coached or to become the coach? The choice is yours!

Coaching – The Career of the 21st Century

July 9th, 2009

I’ve heard “I wish I knew about coaching years ago” more times than I can possibly count from new prospective coaches.

Why is this?  Why, when people first find coaching (whether it be life coaching, small business coaching, or executive coaching), do they find it to be such an incredible professional calling?

Coaching really speaks to their values and experiences.  Individuals who value growth, accomplishment, relationships and connections, a sense of freedom, and helping others are drawn to coaching because these values are the essence of what coaching focuses on and brings out in clients.  Combine these values with life and work experiences that involve overcoming obstacles, achieving success that others thought would be too difficult, and demonstrating the ability to stretch their limits and comfort zone, it’s no wonder people – and perhaps you – are saying “I wish I knew about coaching years ago” because it’s the perfect combination of values and experiences.

And why are more people today drawn to the career of coaching than ever before?

The values of previous generations were more focused on stability and security.  In recent times, society, technology, and the economy have clearly stated that “change has come” and that going forward, change may be the only constant we can rely on.  Nowadays, while this changing environment certainly isn’t easy to navigate, many individuals are more prone to stand up and say “I’m up to the task,” and answer rally cries of “Yes, we can” (political beliefs aside, this obviously speaks to a very large number of people).

If you have adopted the attitude of “Yes we can” and your values and experience now want to take that attitude to the next step, then coaching is how you can do just that.  Whether you want to hire a coach to help propel you to your next level, or you want to become a coach to move yourself and others to heights never before seen, coaching is something that fits you and who you are.

Would you be reading this blog if it didn’t?

Now time to ask: Are you going to answer the call?

Change – and Choice!

November 3rd, 2008

Our “guest” blogger this week is Liz Fisch, Vice President of iPEC. Liz is currently busy working on the development of iPEC’s niche-specific Leadership and Life Potentials training. These exciting programs teach coaching skills and philosophies customized to the needs and situations of people in a wide range of professions, ranging from human resource professionals to financial advisors, accountants, attorneys, direct sellers/network marketers, therapists, chiropractors, and more. Change and Choice are two words that certainly represent iPEC.

On the day before Election Day, I’d like to urge you to get out and vote tomorrow – to make a very important choice. Too often, people become complacent, not voting because “it won’t make a difference” or “one vote doesn’t matter.” Call me idealistic (you may say I’m a dreamer…and it’s true), but I truly do believe that each one of us privileged enough to be living in a country that gives us the right to vote should be sure to exercise that right.

Making a difference is why most of us at iPEC became coaches in the first place, so please, get out there and make a difference tomorrow by voting for the candidate of your choice.

And now, let’s talk about change. One of iPEC’s foundation principles is that “the only constant is change,” and that certainly can be applied to our own organization. Those of you who get iNSPIRE, our monthly newsletter, know of some of the exciting changes that are happening at iPEC right now. A new President (Congratulations Luke Iorio!), an incredible movie based on the Law of Being program and the life experiences of iPEC’s founder and CEO Bruce D Schneider, customized leadership, personal mastery, and professional development trainings to help people learn coaching skills to use in their own lives and work, and to open them up to the possibility and value of what coaching can help them achieve….and so much more.

Stay tuned to this blog as we’ll talk about each of these exciting announcements (and the driving principles behind them!) in the weeks to come. Change at iPEC, change in our country, and change, I’m sure, in your own life, just as in mine. Embrace change, and make conscious choices. (And remember to vote tomorrow!)
