(This space is for promotion-free conversations.) You’ll also experience additional training and encouragement from iPEC team members and Lead Trainers.

Rules of Engagement:

This is a place for all coaches who have completed the iPEC Coach Training Program, whether you’re just beginning your journey to becoming a coach or have years of experience, or are anywhere in between!

Our intent is to create a promotion-free, anabolic space for us to connect, engage, and collaborate together.

Please review the following lists to understand what is acceptable and not acceptable in this group.

Before posting, take yourself through this quick 5-Point Checklist:

  • Does my post benefit the community?
  • Does my post create connection and inclusion?
  • Does my post invoke curiosity?
  • Does my post encourage learning, acceptance, and growth?
  • Does my post reflect my highest level of consciousness available at this moment?

  • Discuss how module exercises, concepts, or content personally impacted your WHO. Keep in mind, what's shared in the modules cannot be shared elsewhere unless expressly noted in iPEC's Intellectual Property Permissions.

  • If you’re posting an ELI chart for peer feedback, we encourage you to post with your own perspective first (what are you sensing?) and then invite peer review and input.

  • Share your experiences, ideas, and best practices on coaching or personal development, soliciting feedback, celebrating accomplishments, words of inspiration, and coaching-industry related news or updates

Sample: I just had the most amazing experience with a client. For the first time, it didn’t feel like I was “doing” coaching. Instead, it felt like I was “being” coaching. It felt so natural. As if there was no other way to be. I didn’t need to think about what I was doing, or what questions to ask, or what kind of listening I was doing. It was just pure coaching, connection, and presence. When has anyone else felt this way?

Sample: Exciting news today! I just launched my coaching website: www.mycoaching.biz. If anyone feels inspired to check it out and give me feedback on the look and feel, that would be so appreciated. I coach recently retired professional athletes on maximizing the transition from playing to the next chapter.

Sample: I have three different logos for my business that I’m considering. Which ones do you all like best?

Sample: In case you haven’t heard it enough today, please know that you are amazing, inspiring, and you have so much brilliance to offer to the world!

Sample: Fun fact! International Coaching Week is May 16-22. Learn more at https://www.icf-events.org/international-coaching-week/. I think I’m going to apply to be a speaker and offer ten free coaching sessions to people in my neighborhood. What are you all going to do?

  • Websites, blog posts, articles, podcasts or inspirational quote cards

Sample: You’ve probably already seen this article on the iPEC website, but if not, I wanted to share it here: https://www.ipeccoaching.com/blog/lessons-to-start-a-coaching-business. Lesson number 1 on “self-compassion” is the one  I think could use the most attention. In my experience, when my self-compassion is low, my overall energy is low.

Sample: I know that some people love Tim Ferriss and some people not so much. But I find a lot of value from his podcasts. For me, it’s about having many different perspectives and approaches to living an intentional life. You can check it out at https://tim.blog/podcast/. I especially like episode 132 with guest Abby Normal.
Sample: “Long-term consistency trumps short-term intensity.” ~Bruce Lee. In my experience, this is so true. I feel like some of my proudest accomplishments come from consistent work over time. What does this quote mean to you?

  • Posts that question or share concepts learned during your iPEC program

Sample: I’m still feeling stuck on the expression, “Nothing has meaning until you give it meaning.” I guess I don’t understand how you could NOT give something you experience some kind of meaning. I wonder if someone would be willing to share some other ways to understand this idea?

  • Upcoming free teleclasses, webinars, workshops, or other events you feel will add value to the community (as long as an opt-in and/or payment is not required and you are not promoting a product or services to other coaches.

Sample: Hi community! I’m doing a free webinar on money mindset for families with newborns at [DATE] and [TIME]. If you or someone you know might be interested, it’d be awesome to have them there. I’m sure we have some folks here who also have a young family (like me!)

Sample: I’m running a free workshop on the importance of self-care at the upcoming ICF conference. If you happen to be attending and want to come by, it would be a pleasure to have you there.

  • The launch of your podcast, book, or eBook (We want to celebrate this accomplishment with you!)  You may include where to find it, but please do NOT share a link to purchase.

Sample: After three years, my book came out today. It’s called, The Life and Times of a Life Coach. And I couldn’t think of a better place to celebrate than with my inspiring friends in this community. Thank you all for being you. This book wouldn’t exist without your support and kind words.
It’s available on all the online book sites, like Amazon and Barnes and Noble, if you want to check it out.

  • Recommend other iPEC-related Facebook groups (such as mastermind/study groups which are not moderated by iPEC)

Sample: Heya Chicago-area iPEC coaches! We have a  Facebook mastermind group for coaches primarily in the Chicago area (though anyone is welcome, really). We meet every third Wednesday at [TIME] and it’s for all iPEC coaches who’ve completed Mod III (we talk about things that happened in training . We’re here to support, share, learn, and grow together. If you’re interested in joining, DM me for details on how to find our Facebook group. Although we are all iPEC students or graduates with Energy Leadership training, this group is not formally affiliated with or moderated by iPEC.

  • Invite others to collaborate or be guests on interviews, podcasts, blogs, etc. The description of content and the request must be written succinctly like a Tweet

Sample: I have a podcast on Time Management for Busy Executives. And I’d love to have a fellow iPEC coach be interviewed for the podcast if time management is an area of focus for you.

  • No promotion of any kind, direct or indirect, with the exception of approved iPEC Community Business Partners.  Direct marketing is anytime you are asking potential clients or customers to buy from you that you monetarily benefit from.  Indirect promotion is anytime you are building awareness around your brand or services in a way that leads to business over time.

Sample: I have a new online webinar for coaches who want to find more fulfillment and success in the business of coaching. You can register at www.mycoachingwebsite.biz/webinar for the next available time slot.

Sample: I just got the most wonderful testimonial from a client of mine who has gone from virtually no coaching clients to having a full list of clients plus a waiting list. Here’s what they said, “[GLOWING TESTIMONIAL HERE]”

Sample: The most amazing thing happened in my community of ambitious coaches called Rock Star Coaches Alliance! 80% of our members made five-figures or more last month.

Self-promotion can happen in many different ways, shapes, and forms. If you’re unsure if your post could be considered self-promotion, take a peek at the following self-assessment and explore your intention for the post:

  • Do I coach or mentor other coaches?
  • Do I advertise support for coaches anywhere online, and do coaches need to pay for that support?
  • Am I NOT an official iPEC Business Partner?
  • Does my post provide a path (direct or indirect) for someone in the iPEC coach community to become a lead, prospect, client, or customer?
  • Is my post more about promoting my proficiency as a coach than it is about our collective benefit, growth, and learning?

If you answered YES to any of these questions, it’s possible that your post would be considered as self-promotion and may be removed.

  • No list-building of any kind (i.e., anything that requires an email exchange, commenting on a post, or other opt-ins including social contests and “free resources”)

Sample: I’m running a challenge this month called 30-Days to $30k in your coaching business! If you want to sign up, go to www.mycoachingwebsite.biz/30k-challenge . Everyone who registers for the challenge will be entered to win a free 6-session package with me!

Sample: I just made a really cool and free workbook for coaches wanting to attract more clients. If that’s something you would like, go to www.mycoachingwebsite.biz/workbook and download it. You’ll just need to enter your email address first.

Sample: I’m doing research on what life is like for coaches who have been in business for one-three years. If you’re interested in being interviewed for the research, just DM me your email address and I’ll follow up with more information.
Sample: I have a free quiz that tells you what your business archetype is. Comment below and I’ll send it to you.

  • No offering free discovery calls/complimentary sessions unless it is in response to a post requesting a referral or to complete your coaching certification.  Please do NOT share links publicly.

Sample: Hi friend! I just saw from your other post that you’re located in Japan. I actually work with coaches in the greater Japan area. Would you be interested in having a quick call sometime to see if we’d work well together?

  • No creating or distributing supplemental resources, study guides, or tools using iPEC materials. We believe there’s value in coaches creating these for their own learning, although distributing them to other coaches is not permitted.

Sample: I have found the Wheel of Life to be indispensable! I use it with nearly all of my clients. I included it with this post so that everyone can download it and use it as much as possible. It’s just easier than getting it from the Hub.

Sample: I created a spreadsheet with all of the coaching tools, which Manual they’re within, and the page number. I put it in a Google Spreadsheet that you can click here to access.

  • No sharing local events, networking get-togethers, or workshops that don’t pertain to the entire community (without express written permission from iPEC)

Sample: I’m looking to bring some iPEC coaches together in the San Francisco area to go through a test run of a new workshop I created for people who want to get started in the real-estate business. Is anyone interested in learning more?

iPEC Community Code of Ethics

As a member of the iPEC Community, you're invited to follow these guidelines while posting and interacting in our communities, and beyond.

What Happens There? We take the coach approach and:

Also, tap into Community Partner resources and, once ELI-MP certified, purchase ELI assessments.

  • Interact with others respectfully and practice coaching skills using curiosity, open-mindedness, and compassion.
  • Honor one another’s unique journey by acting with fairness and inclusiveness.

  • Keep in mind that students are in various stages of their training, and we understand they may be unfamiliar with tools introduced in modules they have yet to attend.

  • Hold confidential the exclusive exercises from the iPEC training modules, allowing for them to be revealed ONLY in the classroom as designed; this preserves the magic and benefits students are intended to gain when experienced firsthand.

  • Accept that energy attracts like energy. We build and construct a high-conscious community and raise the consciousness of the world by investing anabolic energy in the form of our comments, interactions, and engagements.

  • Practice holographic thinking (what do you sense?) and offer our individual perspectives anabolically.

  • Contact Student Support for any Coach Training Program-specific questions, assessment manager questions, or concerns through the chat feature in the Hub.

  • Inaccurately characterize or present ourselves as iPEC employees, unless we are employed by iPEC. Please ensure your social media profile reflects iPEC as a school you attended instead of your company or employer.
  • Create posts or add comments from low levels of consciousness which are mean spirited, abusive, defamatory, obscene, demoralizing, fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading in any way.
  • Model fear-based behaviors (assumptions, judging, limiting beliefs) through online posts and interactions with others.

  • Engage in groupthink and/or encourage catabolic behavior, which is contrary to a growth-oriented mindset.

  • Allow or encourage a person who is not an iPEC student or alumni to impersonate an iPEC coach in order to gain entry into our community or access intellectual property.
