Discovered and developed by iPEC Founder Bruce D Schneider, it is founded on more than ten thousand hours of research and application over the course of 30 years. This inter-disciplinary process has its roots in psychotherapy, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), mentoring, consulting, quantum physics, metaphysics, adult and accelerated learning theories, emotional intelligence, leadership development, and theories of conscious evolution. A visual depiction is represented in the Energetic Self-Perception Chart (developed by Schneider in the early 1990’s).

“Being” vs. “Doing”

With Core Energy Coaching you will outpace the traditional coaching model which focuses only on what a person is “doing” to move from point A to point B (the outside only approach on the chart above). It doesn’t deal with the cause – the core – and thus, its effectiveness is limited.

The Value of Fully Integrated Training

You will benefit from in-person training combined with distance learning. This mirrors how you will likely interact with your own clients. The face-to-face training (offered in most major cities in the United States) is essential to learn a profession that is built on interpersonal and communication skills. Blending face-to-face interaction with distance learning enables iPEC to maintain convenience AND quality for its students.

Be cautious if schools offer only their introductory course in-person, but then resort to telephone training for the more important aspects of the training. Some actually train exclusively by phone. As you can imagine, iPEC’s in-classroom training is significantly more expensive to deliver than training by phone, but we do NOT pass that on to students. This rich training is another of iPEC graduates’ most cited benefits to the program.

A Note on Full ICF Certification vs. a “Certificate”

iPEC is a fully accredited coach certification program by the International Coach Federation, the only recognized governing body of the coaching industry. This accreditation means you receive an industry approved, audited, and recognized certification. The International Coach Federation was started by a collective group of competing institutions that sought to create an independent agency to advance the professionalism, standards, and ethics of the industry.

Beware that many programs may provide you with a “Certificate” in coaching – this means a certificate of completion and NOT accredited certification. Others may claim to offer you a certification approved by a little known “industry association” – be sure to inquire if the association is one that they started to approve their own program.
